The Simple Woman's Daybook

I am participating in The Simple Woman's Daybook. If you would like to participate hop over and give it look.

This is actually my entry for April 17, 2017, 2013. I am just learning how to do this.

Outside my window . . . Tree limbs are blowing, sun is shining.

I am thinking . . . I wish I were outside where the wind is blowing and the sun is shining instead of in my office with artificial air.

I am thankful for . . .my nice job, nice office, artificial cool air, and nice people to work around, especially the kids.

In the kitchen . . . awaits a sinkful of dishes I didn't get to last night.  Boo.

I am wearing . . . work clothes but rather be in my sweats and t-shirt without this awful bra.

I am creating . . . my border to the quilt top in the round robin challenge with the wonderful group of ladies I quilt with, and my first ever blog you are hopefully reading.

I am going . . . to the hospital tonight to see friends who all happen to be there. One is a member of our little book club, so we are going to her since she can't come to us.

I am wondering . . . if my blog will take off and anyone will read it.

I am reading . . . nothing right now, just finished "The Girl on the Cliff " by Lucinda Riley. AWESOME!

I am hoping . . . praying . . .for those in Boston, my friends in the hospital, my family.

I am learning . . . how to blog.

I am pondering . . . retirement. I'm overdue, but have never not worked and am anxious.

A favorite quote for today . . ."For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Philippians 4:11 KJV. I have not really learned it yet. I guess I could have included this in the "hoping" question above.

One of my favorite things . . . seeing the smiling faces of my grandkids. Oh my, oh my, what a wonderful site.

A few plans for the rest of the week . . . do those dishes, work on my round robin, walk, take those clothes that have been in my car for a week to the laundry.

A peek into my day . . . got up late, made it to work on time, stuck to my weight watcher's plan, picked some weeds during my lunch hour, loved on my chihuahua Punkin, going home, visiting some friends in the hospital, walking, reading, going to bed.

Fabric for my round robin challenge. Need to get busy tonight.

In my new blogging adventure I am quickly learning one thing leads to another and feel like I'm already a snowball. I found this blog Starwood Quilter just googling, then from there moved on to The Quilter's Book Club, then to The Simple Woman's Daybook. Wow, so cool. I have not learned how to link the names mentioned yet, but that is next on my list.

    1. I want to soooooooo bad, but am so nervous about it. I can't think too much about it or I never will. One morning, I'll wake up and say, this is the day. I'm retiring and I will.

Thanks for commenting. I'm really having fun.

  4. Thank you Gillie, how sweet you are. I would love your help. I probably should have researched a little more before actually starting, but then I might not have "started". Thanks so much.
